Terms of Use

Effective: 2026-10-01

1. The service

  • The AeroBrief service is provided by TR-Code Kft. (the “operator”). AeroBrief is a decision-support application for VFR flight briefing, intended for general aviation pilots. The application does not provide official flight planning or meteorological information services, and it does not replace official NOTAMs, official meteorological information or air traffic services.
  • The data and assessments provided by AeroBrief serve information and decision-support purposes. The pilot in command decides whether and how the flight is conducted and is responsible for that decision.
  • The service also uses data from external data sources (e.g. OpenStreetMap, Open-Meteo, aviationweather.gov), in accordance with their respective licence terms.

2. User account

  • If the operator enables guest access (see section 3), the service can be used without signing in. Creating a user account is voluntary; an account is needed to sync settings and saved routes across devices.
  • By signing in or creating an account, the user accepts these Terms of Use and acknowledges the Privacy Notice. The sign-in window expressly points this out, with a link to both documents.
  • Users can sign in with an e-mail address and password or with a Google account. The user is responsible for the security of their sign-in credentials.

3. Development phase and access

  • During the development phase the operator may limit access to invited user accounts.
  • The operator may switch access without signing in (guest access) on or off at any time.
  • An invitation is personal and not transferable.

4. Plans and fees

  • AeroBrief is available as a free plan and as paid plans. The free plan provides the basic features; paid plans offer additional features and higher usage limits (quotas).
  • Once introduced, paid plans will be purchasable through a payment service provider (Merchant of Record); the purchase terms are shown before payment.
  • The operator may change the fees and the content of the plans; section 9 applies to such changes. The fee for a period already paid does not change.

5. Permitted use

  • Users may not access the application in an automated way or by systematic bulk querying (using software, bots, scrapers or other automated tools).
  • Users may not transfer their sign-in credentials or their account to others, or share them with others.
  • Users may not use AeroBrief in a way that overloads the servers or disrupts the operation of the application.
  • The operator may stop unauthorised or harmful activity immediately and suspend the access concerned.

6. Availability

  • AeroBrief is provided in its current state; the operator gives no commitment to continuous availability or error-free operation.
  • The service may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, updates or external circumstances.

7. Limitation of liability

  • The operator’s liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law, in particular Section 6:152 of Act V of 2013 on the Hungarian Civil Code (Ptk.).
  • The operator is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damage, loss of data or loss of profit arising from the use of the application.
  • These limitations do not apply to damage caused intentionally, by gross negligence or by a criminal offence, or to a breach of contract that harms life, physical integrity or health.

8. Intellectual property and third-party data

  • The AeroBrief application and its software are the intellectual property of TR-Code Kft.
  • Third-party data (e.g. OpenStreetMap, Open-Meteo) are subject to their own licence terms; the source attributions are listed in the Legal notice.
  • The rights in the routes and saved data created by the user remain with the user; the operator uses them only to provide the service and to fix its errors.

9. Changes to these terms

  • The operator may change these terms. It publishes the changed terms on this page with a new effective date and informs users of the change in the application.
  • A material change to the detriment of consumers takes effect no earlier than on the 15th day after its publication in the application.
  • By continuing to use the service after the effective date, the user accepts the changed terms. Users who do not accept them may stop using the service and may delete their account at any time.

10. Governing law

  • These terms are governed by Hungarian law. Without prejudice to the mandatory rules protecting consumers, the Hungarian courts have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes.
  • Consumers resident in the European Union retain the rights granted by the mandatory consumer protection provisions of their member state of residence.
  • These terms are available in Hungarian, English and German; in case of discrepancy the Hungarian version prevails.
